has anyone ever used these gauge clusters

Would electrical gauges be eaiser to install that the mechanical, also with the speedometer I guess all you would use to install it is the speed cable that goes to the transmission.
Also what would be more accurate mech. or elec.

I don't like them, they look cheap to me. If I were to buy one I'd go for the MC machine one. http://www.mc-machine.com/87dash/87dash.htm As far as installation, it's pretty easy. If you are going electrical you can splice everything in to the factory harness, change the sender and you're good to go. With mechanical you have to run all the tubes to the engine. In my opinion the mech. are more accurate unless you are going full sweep electric, which are expensive.

I think that "wrinkled plastic" looks cheap. I have MC Machine plate he mentioned above and love it. Below is a pic of my setup, I don't have an installed pics of it right now, but I'll snap some later tonight.
