Has anyone seen this before (O2 sensor)?

The O2 sensor on the driver side is not screwed into the X-pipe, it isn't even plugged into the plug that goes up into the wiring harness. The O2 sensor is hard wired in, weird. The one that is in the pipe is in a different hole held on by a hose clamp. Check out the pics, and any ideas are appreciated.

That's crazy. I take it you recently bought the car but didn't know it was like this?

AEM makes a weldless O2 sensor bung for fixing a wideband:

But this just looks like a cheap attempt at that. The wiring looks loony...

Does the car have a wideband gauge? Does it have a standalone ECM?

It is for a wideband but it was done poorly. I'll have to fix it. I did just buy the car not to long ago, got a great deal so it's fine.

Looks like an EGT sensor, not wideband.

Also most of the pictures ive seen online show the sensor with a hose clamp.

Still curious about the lack of an upstream O2 sensor on that bank...

Here is a pic of the O2 sensor set up, just seems weird one is hard wired and never hooked up, the one with the plug goes into the X-pipe but wasn't plugged in. No CEL though.
