Need to get my 96's stock H-pipe off and I was wondering if anyone here has ever bought and installed Summit Racing's brand off road H-Pipe and can give some feedback, neg and good on it? It's cheap, but how does it install?

Couldn't be any better/worse than the Mac. Only thing I would do is get some high temp ceramic paint and coat it before the install. I did this with my Mac H and although it stinks to high heaven for a few days it helps keep it from rusting. I'd imagine the Summit one could use a good coating as well. As far as fitment that is another issue. My Mac fit fine but I'd heard some had trouble getting them to fit. At any rate go get the for manifold gasket and use it instead of the cheap rubber gasket they give you with the pipe.

Thats sorta why I was asking because I used a Mac H on my Fox and fitment was great, taking into the fact that heat and time plays a role on the stock rubber hangers throughout. I will keep the gasket thing in mind and I guess I will try the Summit pipe...

I put a summit o/r h pipe on my old 94. Fitment was pretty good for the most part, if i had to do it again though i would have gotten a one piece h-pipe. Summits is a 2 piece and they give you a clamp to hold the two pieces together at the H. I had problems getting the clamp to hold the two pieces together though and finally had to get it welded together...
