Ya man the dealership says that the Brembo job on 2 tires will be around 400dollars including machineing the rotors.
That is insane, has anyone ever upgraded those pads, I know they are pretty quality and they really don't need it.
Can I get these pads at an Autozone?
No need to change my brake pads yet, but from what I read many of the guys are replacing their stock pads with pads made by Hawk. Haven't read of any complaints about them either.
If you want to save money do it yourself. Take the rotors off and find a shop where you can get them turned/surfaced. Then do the pad replacement your self.
You can get aftermarket rotors and pads installed for less than that...I can get slotted front rotors for around $250, pads are an additional $35-$50 and do the install for around $100. Plus the aftermarket rotors are better than the stock one's...
Go to tirerack.com and order some Brembo OEM replacement rotors, and get some Hawk HPS pads and you'll spend less than what the dealer is charging and you'll get new upgraded rotors...It's not that hard of a job to change the pads and rotors up front either...

Do you have hawk HP+ ? They are too hard a compound for street. You will never get them hot enough. You will actually have Less breaking with them.
Guys!! Learn to do your own breaks. It is very simple. Always have a spare set of rotors. when you switch in a newly turned set you take the old ones to the shop. You can get them on e-bay for cheap. under $100 for fronts and under 70 for rears. NEVER get drilled! Usless! Slotted at most. If you have some cash to spend, get two piece rotors. Stoptech makes some nice ones. if you have even more cash then junk the 2 piston stock garbage and get some 4 or 6 piston calipers. The stock floating caliper design is really bad.
