Has anyone used the air pump to create vacuum

If so -

1. How did you install it?
2. What was the benefit of the insall and what was it used for?
3. Can you provide a link or information on the subject?

I kinda remember reading a looong time ago where someone mentioned using the air pump to create vacuum for there car. I'm just curious though. I was thinking that if a cam reduces stock vacuum levels then you can regain that vacuum by using this method.
