Me and my cousin both had horrible experiences with Ram clutches.
Save yourself the misery don't get a Ram clutch they are simply crap.
I wish I had listened to my cousin the first time around.
If you only plan on making 400rwhp get a Centerforce DF clutch or
a Centerforce DFX clutch they are both excellent clutches that will
hold up very well.My Centerforce DF clutch has held up great and I
would purchase one again too!
What supercharger are you installing? How much boost do you plan on
running? If you are running the stock internals plan on making no more
than 420rwhp.

Oh and there is another one, its an 01gt with with a fully built ans stroked 4.6 all the way to a 5.0 mod motor, with 590hp and 632 ft/lb of tq running a hdx and 10.5in slicks at the track and radials on the street with a t56 6spd and guess what he has ahhh a hdx. He blew the centerforce to shreds on the 2nd pass

I am already running 4.10's and worry that the Vortex will spool up too quick and I will be smoking rubber everywhere. I believe the KB will let you get to around 2000 rpm before really tanking it so it has a slightly softer power curve with respect to higher gears if that makes sense

Sounds like you are in a small dilemma here.
If you spend all that money on a Kennebell definitley don't get the 6 psi.
non-intercooled kit as the power gains will not justify the price you will
pay and detonation is highly possible running a twin screw supercharger
without a intercooler to aid cooling the intake charge temperatures as
they run higher intake charge temperatures than centrifugal superchargers
do.Get the 9psi. intercooled Kennebell kit you will be glad you did.
I have been hearing great things about the newer Vortech V-3 self contained
superchargers.I haven't heard of one person yet that had to send their
V-3 head unit back to Vortech.If you like centrifugal superchargers this
is a great choice.On my car I want to do a Vortech V-2/V-3 or a Procharger
P1SC.
I would consider running 4.10 gears with a Vortech V-3.As the boost will
come alittle later on because the centrifugal superchargers have boost
lag like a big turbocharger does.
Though I would not consider running a Kennebell twin screw supercharger
with 4.10 gears that will kill your chance of making traction and hooking up.
You will be smoking your tires with this set up easy like you said.If you
do get a Kennebell plan on installing taller gears like 3.55 or 3.73 gears you
will thank yourself later.Either blower you get plan on getting a tune.
If you decide to run a supercharger definitley get a good clutch like a
Centerforce clutch.Let us know how things work out Hotdog.
