Has The Eleanor Craze Ended??

I can't tell you about the Eleanor craze, but they won't drop that far that fast. I don't expect 67 and 68 fastbacks to come back to reasonable levels any time soon. Only very poorly built stuff will be affordable IMO.

if I knew how to post a link I would, but I was browsing thru ebaymotors a few minutes ago and this one stood out at the top of the list. There's nothing that looks poorly built about this one. I've seen the rust buckets that go for close to this one, and this aint one. If there's one of y'all in New York, better jump on it, quick :D

I wish, eleanor is completely destroying this hobby. It isn't the ugliest car but sure as hell isn't as nice as a regular stang. Nowadays when the new generation thinks shelby they think eleanor unfortunately not the real deal ones. So I doubt it will go down anytime soon.

I don't think they are ever going to come back down to reasonable levels. Remember, Eleanor aside, they are and were a scarce commodity that now has the spotlight to get younger people interested. Even if Eleanor dies alot of the good fastbacks have already been wasted on this craze and the amount of people wanting a stock one goes up each year. Buy now or pay more later. If you are sitting on the fence waiting for prices to go down then you will never own one. I saw the writing on the wall about fastbacks 10 years ago when I purchased my 66 rust free CA car for $2K even though the project I was planning was years in the future due to other car projects. My fastback sat for several years at a buddies shop until I could bring it home....and by that time a $2k fastback was a dream and a memory.

Can it be true???? There's an Eleanor on ebay now for the amazingly low ( Buy it Now) price of $7800 :D What's going to happen to all those $78,000 Eleanors now? :rlaugh: :stupid:

If it's too good to be true, it probably a fraud. Scammers get a hold of someones Ebay password through phishing via email. They then post a high dollar item at a very low "but it now" price. They almost always want payment by Western union BidPay because it is not traceable. Watch out!

I was so pissed when that movie came out. I was working on a one piece front end. It was to have no bumper and look alot like that car. It was to close to what I wanted to do and knew I would be the copycat, so it was scraped.
