hatchback or notchback?

i'm looking at 2 91 mustang's both 5.0 with manual trans one is a lx hatch and the other is a notch back they have simialer mods the hatch has newer clutch aluminum rad. with 135,000 miles and the notch has rear disc conversion with 93,000 miles they are both $3500 and can't make up my mind which way to go.so i'm lookin for advice on which one and what reason? thanks for any help in advance

Stronger chassis, better styling, and they demand more money on resale in the mustang community.

let me be the first to say hatch....i just like the look better...its all a matter of personal opinion...id say just go with what you like better

Good god man GET THE NOTCH!!!!!! I own a hatch but wouldnt have to even think about that choice. Especially for that price and a 5lug conversion, DOOOOOOOOOOOOIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT!!!!

it doesn't have 5 lug conversion just rear disc, it might have been a 4cyl from the factory not sure does that matter? were the chassis any stronger on the 5.0 also is the notch lighter than the hatch? how is the chassis stronger on the notch than the hatch what kind of times could you expect from a stock notch in the 1/4

Just kidding, i have been fond of Hatchbacks my whole life until recently. Cars like S&B's, 1990Coupes, Strypes, and several others have got me liking the notch crowd.


The only drawbacks I have now for Hatchbacks is the pain in the ass plastic that goes inside the hatch and covers the quarter windows. it warps, its doesnt like to fit perfectly when you take it out for any length of time, and if you do a rear seat delete, it ALMOST looks out of place with all that spare room.

But, given the choice, since i already have a hatch now, my next one will be a notch.
