FastDriver has my back on this.. This will not become a DEBATE. If you want to argue about chevy vs ford and whine and complain we dont wanna hear it. Criticism is welcome but dont start with the ford is way better than chevy bull****. So here it is from when me and my father picked it up last year as a roller... till how it sits now. Ill put more details up later or just ask.

LOL on getting a mod to back you to make a thread. The engine is definitely NOT my thing, but the rest of the build looks excellent. Nice work.

LOL yea i heard enough BS from my LS6 notch thread.. bunch of keyboard tough guys talking bout nothing. But thanks maybe by the weekend we will have all the body back on the car for fitment.. then go from there but ill be snapping pics

What color are you going with? There's something cool going on with the gray primer and all the gray color on the engine.

I think i deserve a cookie..i'm definitely a hater when it comes to brand engine swaps...i'm doing so good biting my tongue

Looks good. What exactly is done to the motor to make it a 421? What class are you looking to run in?

Its a dart 400 block bored out.. the motor build i basically had no say in, i know its very high compression with the best of the best in it, if anyone is interested ill ask my pops for the build sheet on it. I wanted to go procharged lsx like a 408. But its his money in this one so he can do what he wants ill just build it and run it. As far as color we are thinking a few different ways. Thinking about doing it the same color as the Nova we built 2 years ago...

or sunset orange its like a Fbody transam/ss color.. or black thats the 3 in mind right now

I’m not one to do the same old same old so I think it’s a cool build. Cars don’t know or care what’s pushing them down the track. I like the through floor sub frame connectors & how you tied the front frame into your cage. Did those bars come in some kind of kit or did you have a shop bend the tubing? Do you know the thickness of the sub frames? I’m thinking of just getting some tubing from a welding supply place & building my own.

Regardless thats a nice ride....

90 stang, I am sure those bars are custom, they usually are. You can use 2 x 2 tubing for through floor subs, if you go to my website you can see them on my car and my 25.5 chassis. Most metal shops have it with a .125" wall, you can cut the floor and it slips right inside the stock frame.

honestly im not a big fan on the ford chevy-chevy ford swaps but as i get older i realize that i like anything that doesn't sound like a pissed off blender going down the road. props on the custom build man i wish i had the room for something like that

Thanks for the good response yes this is all custom bend tubing. And yes faststang90 thats about the same color as the sunset orange i love that color. But the final tubing was done by Tom Brush Chassis. Tom is the same chassis builder for all of Johnny Lightnings race trucks for those familiar with his record breaking trucks ...

You've been added to the stickied list of build threads. Looks great, man! I'm not a chevy motor in a Ford kind of guy, but I can appreciate good craftsmanship when I see it.

For everyone else, this is not a thread to discuss or weigh in on the merits of a chevy motor in a mustang. This is a thread to post the progress of and comment on this specific build. If you want that type of discussion, open another thread and keep it civil. Follow that childhood advice that unless you have something positive to say here, keep it to yourself. Thanks.

this is a very good attitude, regardless of the powerplant, this will be one of the faster progress thread cars that we have on stangnet
