i took off the havac contros yesterday to take out the dash so i got done with the dash and now my a/c only blows out of the defrost vents i think it has something to do with the yellow vacum line on the back and in that case is there any way i can rach the canster whitout taking the whole dash out again thanks brandon

yes, you have a vacuum leak. All the door motors are accessable from under the dash. check the thread in the 2.3 section for my post on hose locations.

You pulled the yellow vacuum hose of the vacuum motor that controls the vents. It goes from the back of the control knob ot the vacuum motor in the picture below - you can find it from the driver's foot well up behind the radio....
