Have GAS Prices curbed your driving?

I remember when gas was .89 cents a gallon when I first started driving 18yrs ago. Now we have been condtioned to think that 2.50 is CHEAP I better fill up.

i DD my stang and its starting to really burn a hole in my wallet.

Hopefully i will be picking up a little 87 s10, fuel injected 2.5 with a stick. should get some decent milage over the stang lol

Well I keep busting trannys so the stang has only seen about 1000 miles since last May. Now that it's up and running I use it on the weekends, but use my DD during the week to run around. On a side note: The stang gets way better mileage with the TKO now.

i drive mine every day... im only 2miles from work so 4miles there and back... other then that i live in a small town so i usally only spend 20 bucks a week... maybe 30 if i drive alot! and i run 87 @ 295 a gallon

pretty sad I guess because my mustang get better gas mileage than my s10 does with the type of driving I do every day. I average 100-120 miles a day and about half of that is straight highway and the other is starting and turning off the car through out the day while I visit with homeowners....that's what really gets me. dang gm and their underrated 4.3.....but it's reliable i must admit :)

LOL too expensive to drive my mustang...its too frickin expensive to drive my 4 banger.

However i can't feel that bad, my friends dad has a 75 Hurst Olds with a worked 455, he used to go through 100 a week (when he drove it) thats when gas prices were $2.00/gal, but in all fairness its a beast :hail2:

Edit: However i live on base, and my work is about 3 miles from the barracks, so i usually car pool, or run to work.

This is a real joke... My Jeep averages 15.5 MPG and my Mustang averages about 18 - 20 MPG in the city. If I could, I would drive the mustang every day. But it would help if the Mustang was running! (stupid upgrades!)

Would it effect my driving? No, since it takes $30.00 to fill up the Mustang and $45.00 to fill up the Jeep each week.

My daily driver 01 GT gets just as bad gas mileage as my weekend 93 Notch... soooooooooo...

I have no choice in the matter. I try to limit my trips to Subway for sammiches :)

I think the rising gas prices is part of a conspiracy started by restaurants and business that charge extra to deliver to your door. Next thing you know Subway will have sammiches available for delivery.
