have my car media blasted, or acid dipped and ecoated?

I have a cherry rust free 68 fastback that I want to have taken down to metal and do a frame up resto on it. I was wondering if anybody knows anything about having these things acid dipped and ecoated? I had a frame done 5 years ago and it turned out great, but I don't know if it would work as good with a fully body. I like the ecoating because it gets all the paint and rust on the car that you wouldnt be able to get to with blasting, and then it coats all of that with a epoxy paint.

IF you can have it dipped in Epoxy Primer I would Acid dip it. I acid dipped my 68 Fastback and it turned out good, no new surprises. I was able to have it dipped in primer so I had to primer then use a painters wond, with rust ecapsulater and some por 15 to get to areas that I could not origianlly prime. IF you can have it dipped in both acid and primer I would go that root.

I found a place that acid dips and ecoats locally and its $2500 for the body. I was hoping it would have been more around 1500, thats a little pricey if you ask me. I'll just stick with the blasting on the body, and maybe just have the doors ecoated

$2500 sounds reasonable for me, especially if you have a rust free body to start with. then you dont have to worry about it rusting ever again. the e coat is far better than the stuff ford used back in the day.

Yeah thats not to bad, I paid 1200 to have the body and doors dipped, I asked about if they dipped in primer, the said no not yet, but alot of people ask about it. Gezz I wonder why.. ha. I wouls pay other wise you have the possibleity of rust coming back.

Where did you get the car dipped??? Kwik Strip in Allentown?
