Pretty cool. I could see how maybe caliper adapter brackets or other suspension parts could be produced in a group buy, you only make the amount ordered.

I was thinking the same thing when BullittFB posted his homemade strutrods. Emachineshop could make the forward mounting brackets for those who do not weld. Someone would just have to design them with the free CAD program and get prices for diferent lot sizes.

I have been messing around with their CAD program, trying to get a good feel for it. I am trying to start small with some brackets and such and see how good I can get at it. It does look promising though, and with a quantity it is sooo much cheaper. Would be great if someone designed a part and we were able to group order it.

Well, if you already know CAD or are familiar with a CAD program and can export the file to DXF format, you don't need their CAD program. Or you might be able to import it into their program.

You have to use their program. It will not allow you design pieces that they cannot produce. It's also designed to give automated pricing instantly as you make design changes.

And it's suppose to be easy to learn and use.

If you look down page to the 'More Q&A' where it asks, 'can I import an existing drawing' it says that you can import a DXF file into their program, but you may need to make adjustments.

I think if you ask for the magazines behind the cardboard behind the counter, you can look at the ads and purchase something and not have the expense of machining. And I think they send it in a plain cardboard box.








Not that I know any of this firsthand, it's just what the voices in my head told me......
