A friend of mine knows the owner and told me about them. I think if I had some 18" plus size rims, with what they cost, I'd be all over this product. I think if they were to offer the solid cover with logos instead of the cross, that would be cool.

If you do end up ordering some, maybe there can be a StangNet discount? Or a group purchase...

what about just plain locking lugnuts?

what's wrong with just locking lugnuts?

the only prob i see is that locks can be picked, quickly. if it has a cylindar lock rather than a straight key i would be more apt to buying something like that.

At first, I thought I was looking at a locking toilet seat! As mentioned above, anything with a key is easy pickings for thieves. There are wheel locks that replace all lug nuts with locks so if a thief tries the socket and hammer routine, they'd have to do it to all 4 or 5 locking lug nuts.

those locks with funny heads on the lugs that use a certain socket are crap. I was taking my wheels off on my 95 when I had a set of those locks. I took all off with a 16 point ( I think thats the right number) socket. sorda acts like a master key.

Neat idea, but those would look absolutely horrible on my wheels.

The tire shops all have these sockets that have teeth in them to get off nuts that owners have lost the keys. Very easy to get anymore. These wouldn't work with just any wheel, and likely not on any wheel we might have on a classic, but it seems like a decent idea to me.

I lost my wheel lock keys once, and a socket wouldn't fit over the lug nut because of the hole the lug nut sat in, so out came the trusty cold chisel. A few wacks and the lock nut was in pieces. Hope there aren't any thieves amongst us.

5 locking lugnuts

I like the 5 locking lugnuts idea with a cylindrical key. I'm not into the "ring" in the first post but if that's your cup of tea go for it. It seems like they'd have a real hassle getting each wheel. They'd have to repeat the process 20 times to get 'em all and you probably shouldn't park your car in a place where people can listen to someone hammering at 20 wheel locks and not do nuthin'.
