Having ideas for possible motor swap...opinions?

are the intake adapters incredibly expensive? also if i do go that route, will I still have to get forged internals if I plan on a moderate amount of boost? (on the 5.4?)

ohh, has anyone seen that carburated 5.4l pic people were passing around here? Anyone know the price on that? That would be different...(oh, by the way, I am finishing that paper from last night, so I am poking in here to continue my procratination...)

Reichard Racing sells the adapter I think. They are Billet and pretty expensive, like $400. I havent seen anyone do it, but Id be willing to bet you could make the same thing out of wood, I mean wooden carb spacers have been used for years...
I have seen the carb'd 5.4, I believe its www.Karkraft.com thats sells it. I personally dont have any experiance with them, but I have heard of more than one unhappy customer.

if you want the power then i'd go with VT engines overbore aluminum block, get the cobra crank, and forged pistons and rods and put up a paxton novi 2000 or kenne bell 2.2lwith about 18-20 lbs of boost and lay waste to the ls1s. not only will this be easier then having to mod anything, you get a better jump with the oversized bore. just go with the wet sleeves.

i'll be getting the large bore block with dry sleeves as i will never be supercharging mine, just going for light weight and a bit more displacement high CR motor

you know about the price on that setup torinalth (besides the blower of course)? I only have about 6~7000 to work with here...but that sounds like it could be a good way to go...
