Having problems with brake conversion....

I recently started converting the brakes on my 87 gt to the Cobra R system. I purchased the Ford Racing rear conversion kit and bought some junkyard axles and drilled/slotted rotors for the kit. The front went together just fine and when i go the rear, I could not get enough clearance between the rear rotor and the caliper bracket to mount the caliper. I need help here. I received a set of rotors with the kit that are identical to the rotors I purchased and I'm stumped. I need some suggestions and fast i have been out of a car for almost a week and I'm going nuts. Thanks.

What axles did you get? If you have the M2300M Cobra rear conversion kit, you must use 94-98 Mustang axles, which are 3/4" longer than the 4 lug axles, or right about 30" long.
