The rpm II is more intake than that combo needs. Probably going to help max numbers and hurt average.

Frost,

I have a combo very similar to yours. Recently, I have been experiencing a miss somewhere near 5000 rpm. I was first thinking it was the valve springs. Could it be the ignition system?

Before I started getting the engine miss, when I would spin this combo up past 5000 rpms, I could feel it flatten out. I would like to get this combo to pull hard to 6000 rpms. I had the Cobra lower ported by TMOSS. Is the cam the cause? What else can I do to get what I'm looking for?

These problems can be hard to diagnose and take patience. Write down everything you do. Start with the basics - check the cap buttons and rotor tip, check the plug gaps, get the car in a pitch-black garage with the hood open - have a buddy run the rpms up and you watch for spark leakage at the plugs, wires and coil (don't run with a closed garage for long), Pull the spout and set total timing at 32 degrees and see if it stops - if it does then it could be a pickup coil of TFI module, change both if you change anything. Springs may be a problem, but I'd defer to Ed or others as I'm not that knowledgable about the stock AFR springs.

Peak numbers are great for bragging on the internet...

Great average power and torque is what wins the race...

There are plenty of 302-310 combos we've done with over 320 RWHP but it's the "mean" numbers we get from idle to redline that make them faster than the rest!

I would also like to try and see what you have to say about the cam for my car but you never anwsered my emails. there is no phone number, so far far thats why I listed the N41.

If you emailed looking for a camshaft without filling out the Cam Form, it may never get answered. I can't work with no information....

As for no phone number being available, there is a reason for it not being listed. If I were to spend all day talking on the phone, nothing would ever be shipped out. What would you want for your money? A converstion or the parts?

If it's a 5spd it may be possible to get 300-320 RWHP if it is an AOD I would say 265-280 rwhp.

I too had a miss at around 4800prm during the tuning session. I replaced the coil and distributor with MSD pieces and the miss is gone. I haven't been back to the dyno to see if the miss was affecting my overall performance though. This is mainly due to Katrina and the dyno shop is still in transit to their new location.

Worth mentioning, as part of my engine upgrade I had already added new plugs, wires, distributor cap, button, fuel regulator and fuel filter among other things. My point being that most everything else was/is new.

Hope this helps.

Well first off I'm not complaining. I have no idea why your giving me reasons as to why there is no contact number and emails without a sheet are not replied to. I never said anything negative or asked for a conversation. Just simply stated you didn't reply to my emails and there is no contact number. My email was asking questions about horse power levels/rpm peaks. So I could roughly expect what your cam could do with two different sized heads. So I didn't fill out a sheet. All your cams are custom so the website tells me nothing of peak rpms, idle, rocker size, etc. So I had no information either. Anderson answered my question so i'm clear on the set up I want now. I did not know you were least likely to respond to sheetless emails. You will recieve one now so I can see what your cam can do for me. Hope that clears it up.
