Is there such a head gasket that will hold till the pistons give first??? My 91 leaks a good amount of oil from everywere So ima tear it down to the the block cuz Ima do the intake while im there. And with my luck the next day ill blow a head gasket. So Ima do one that will hold up better than the piston lol.... When I blow up the engine Ima do a 351 with gt40 heads and call it a day and maybe up the boost. But for now I wanna have this car like new with no oil leaks.

I think the Cometic MLS gaskets are about as tough as you can get. I'm not sure how much they are now, but I think I paid $90/ea for them. Not something you want to try running without a very smooth milling of the head and block either.

Fel Pro MLS gets my vote

You could also do o-rings like stated (they really hold), even regular head gaskets will hold fine if the tune is on par.

does cometic sell a thicker head gasket for the 5.0. doing a turbo set up and would love to see a compression ratio below 8.0-1. any help would be great.

You dont want to use a head gasket to greatly lower the compression. It screws up the squench(sp?) of the cyl. The gasket will become more or less a greater part of the cumbustion chamber and head gaskets are not intended for that after a point.

The Fel-Pro MLS...those are the ones that have like a rubber outter skin with raised edges at the water ports and stuff...am I thinking of the same HG? If I ever do HG again those are the ones I am prob. going with. I have heard the 9333's or whatever they are work well also.

9333PT-1 and 8548PT-2 are both good in my experience but if you are looking to break parts instead of blow the gasket I'd look elsewhere.
