I recently purchaced a '95 mustang GT with a few problems. I have fixed most of the problems but one. This car seems to have day time running lights. At night with the headlights on, they flicker between high and low intensity. The same thing happens with hight beams on. I pulled the gauge cover off to look at the head light switch. The factory harness is chared, melted and cracked. I would like to replace the factory switch and wiring harness connector to see if this will fix the problem. Is it best to go the the ford dealer for these parts? Do they still sell them? RKLRacing

The melting wire cluster was a major problem for our vehicles and also explorers for that time. You CAN go to a junkyard and grab these peices out of another V8 or even a V6 model mustang, that's what I ended up doing. My taillights just ended up not working, i checked the wire cluster, exact same problem. Don't go to Ford, you'll pay too much for too little.

Hope that helps
