Im really jealous of this coyote motor 2011+ GT around town. Most Incredible sounding car. Now my sound is real good. I know I can't ever chase that sound with my pushrod motor.

But will aftermarket heads contribute to better sound? I have gt40p heads right now. I plan to get the tf fast as cast 190.

My mod list for reference.

Crane Cams 1.72 roller rockers
Gt40p heads
Tfs1 cam
Hardened longer length pushrods
Crane beehive springs
Gt40 intake
Mac 1-5/8 long tubes
Mac Prochamber
Spintech Super Pro Streets Race exhaust dumped
Energy suspension tranny and engine mounts
ARP block to mount bolts
Comp cam double chain roller and sprocket
ARP head bolt and stud
Flowkooler water pump and ARP bolts
Ford racing gasket kit
MSD 90 degree spark cable kit
J&M upper and lower control arms
Underdrive pulley kit
Bypass smog
Electric fan
Ron Francis fan controller
Sunpro 5in tach w/ shift light
Hotchkis CC plates
BBK Powerplus 70 mm throttle body and egr spacer
70 mm MAF conversion
130 amp alternator
PA Performance alternator wiring
New clutch
New oil pump and shaft
Rebuilt t5
Weld in sub frame connectors
160 degree thermostat
2.73 gears soon to be 4.10

I would try a different exhaust setup perhaps. A lot cheaper than swapping out heads just to hopefully change sound. YouTube has just about every exhaust combination out there.

Not one bit.you are chasing ghosts on this one. Different firing order, different exhaust set ups. Everything is completely different.

Yeah I figured I couldn't get that. I do love my exhaust and get compliments on it often.
I'll just plan on changing cam and heads for better power/sound in my car. I knew I couldn't get his sound, just asking will the upgrade make the car sound better in general

I will say Flowmasters sound totally different on a 5.0 Coyote motor than they do on a 5.0 push rod motor. I know a fellow who has a 2012 GT convertible and that thing sounds wicked. I asked him what mufflers he was running on it and he told me Flowmasters. That I was not expecting because I am so used to the sound of them on a traditional 5.0 motor.

Once again. Multiple cams, twice the valves, completely different firing orders. May as well try to make it sound like a Ferrari while you are at it.

I know. I stated in my first post what I wanted. I know mine can't sound like that. I have a great sound, I just wonder if it'll sound meaner with aftermarket heads. I know cam will change the sound.

Cam will just make it choppier. Personally I prefer the old school muscle car sound the pushrod engine makes over the new gen growl that the modern cars produce.

Yes that's what I want, the Anderson cam choppy sound, sounds like a dragster to me. Tomorrow I'll make video of my car and get some opinions

Not to be a party pooper but I just have to ask...

REALLY????

Here's my fool-proof method for making push rod V8 sound like sound like the devil himself is coming over the hill:

Make HORESPOWER! Make lots of horsepower. Pick and choose the components necessary to make horsepower. Once you're done with that and she's bullet proof, look into making some more horsepower.

By selecting quality components necessary to make horsepower, the exhaust note will take care of itself.

The same goes for just about any motor. Not just ours.

the end

Heads do change the sound. The size and shape of the port will affect the resonance.

But I can't agree more with Noobz. Make more HP. The car will sound better every time you make more power. Especially to the guy watching your fading tail lights.

In my experience "Heads" and other various mods do make a huge difference in sound! Last fall/winter I added Edelbrock Performer RPM heads, Trickflow stage 1 cam, Novi 1000 @12psi, Holley Systemax intake, UPR offroad X pipe with a Dynomax 2.5" Ultraflow catback.
Sometimes I start the car just to stand behind it and drool, "or until I pass out from carbon monoxide poisoning"

Believe me, 500rwhp sounds goooood.
