Heads ?

I've had my stang for about a year now. It's my first stang! My question to you is how do I id what type of heads are under the hood? It's a 93GT vert., everyone that has helped me with the exhaust and other work tells me that my heads are aluminum. I've searching on the net but I think the 93gt's didn't come with aluminum heads from the factory. So I'm trying to id my heads so that later on I can make a decision if I would need to replace them. Thanks.

If they are the stock heads, the casting number will be stamped on them. I believe the stock 93 5.0 heads were et7e's.

Thanks for the reply bullitstang1313. But how do I find where the stamp is at? Or do I have to completely remove them to find out?

Got it DMAN302. Now the magnet isn't sticking. How do I know which heads I have? What do I have to look for? I've look and all I can find are three numbers on the corners (4, 9, 18). That's all I could find.

Take it to the track. Tell us your time and that would be the easiest way to find out if they were stock or not.

Yes Please

... sorry, had to do it.

Without any external markings or numbers, you might hafta pull a valve cover or post detailed pics and give someone here a chance to visually identify them.

Pull off the PS pump/AC bracket..the heads (AFR/EDDY) will have their name on the end..or try a mirror on the back of the head..see if any etching by manufaturer.
