Started project today putting on H-pipe and Magnaflow catback. I broke 1 stud off on each of the factory geaders when I was taking off the old system. I had planned to eventually replace them anyway but looks like now is that time! I am confused as to what type of header to go with. I will stick with shortys as I already have the pipes. But do I want equal or unequal? What do they have stock (equal or un) and well either still work with my H-pipe?
Also one more question. When I removed the factory h-pipe I see it has a pipe that runs from the engine and to each rear convertor. It was getting dark and I couldn't see where it went. Do I need this? The new pipe has the sensors but no provision for this. Any help would be most apprecaiated!

I bought these headers off ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7911922366&category=33631
and I like them. No matter what you buy get a full flanged header. The individual flanges are a pita. I would stay with the unequal lengths. The equals IMO are a pita. the plugs are harder to get to and keeping the plug wires off them can be hard to. go for a 1 5/8" set of unequals with full flanges

i like equal length and the tube you were talking about with your H is the smog pump. you might not pass emissions without it but if you have none then no you dont need it but have to cap em off or you will have a exhaust leak and a ticking noise.

Have you thought about long tube headers?
