Well, my Fel-Pro 1415's just came today. I have a few questions before a friend and I do the swap
1. Do I need to completely remove the headers, or can I just unbolt them from the heads and the headers move out just enough so i can remove old gasket, clean, install new gasket. I ask this because I dont have jackstands, so I cant really get under there and disconnect the header from the midpipe as well. If I have to, Ill just get some stands, their good to have.
2. Any special tools that are needed besides a few wrenches? Trying to avoid finding that I need a certain tool and rushing all over the place to find it, lol.
3. What sealant do I need? Or do I need any? Everywhere I look (Hanes manual for exaple) doesnt mention any sealant when re-installing the headers.
I know to scrape off the old crap gasket, and what ever gasket residue there is before re-installing, and tightening the bolts starting from the middle going outwards. Any last minute tips? Thanks a lot guys!!
