I recently put BBK shorty individual length headers in my 89 5.0L had to lift engine to fit them in and then also replace the engine mounts , old ones were just to sacked out to provide proper clearance for the header pipes. With that done they fit beautifully with decent clearance all round. The passenger side is a bit close to the strut tower but ok.They do get hot and smoke for a lil bit as well as the X-pipe, seems to be normal from other posts ive read.I had problems routing my smog pump hoses on passenger side and had to rotate them to clear the pipes.( i need to pass emissions where i live so had to keep it all in till testing) Just thought id add that it may be useless info to you tho P).Good luck with install the BBK's look sweet and are well worth the time,$ and effort IMO.
