ok. i just put on a o/r h-pipe and 2 chamber flowmaster cat-back. now.. my question is i have stock headers on and i have the chance to buy equal lenth storties for it. are they worth the money, will it change the sound(louder) will i feel the defference meaning by flowing better. or just save my money

You won't notice much of a difference on a stock engine, but if you're planning on bigger mods in the future it would be a good idea to get them.

yeah i'm planning H/C/I install real soon. i'm thinking e303 cam, trickflow street heat heads, & trickflow street heat intake. after all that install i should be in the 12's yeah think?

You should be in the 12's. And you'll need headers so you should go ahead and get them if you have a chance. It's one of those bolt-on mods people do when there car is stock anyways..

you might as well get them man.
They can't really hurt your car espescially if your plannin on doing some bigger mods latter on.

And the way I see it your engine is a giant gas powered air pump. the better it breaths the better you move.

When you do the heads you'll also have to go to bigger injectors and throttle body to feed then engine properly......then you'll be in the 12's......unless you have a slushbox, then you'll have to build that up.

The answers, yes, yes, and yes...go for it. I put some JBA shorties on my stock stang along with the h-pipe and it helped alot on sound and power. By the way they are for sale now as I went with some ceramic coated headers with my new engine.

You'll see more power throughout the entire RPM range with EL headers. They're a complete pain in the ass to install and to change the plugs, but they're worth it unless you have the cash for LTs.

Installing the headers will give you a deeper sound, and since the exhaust opening on the stock heads are so small it will help give room for the gases to expand. I don't think that EL's are worth the aggravation but if you don't mind the fancy tool work than giver. Good luck

go for em, i have the BBK EL chrome headers, and they give the car a real nice sound, i cant tell you what power they gave me, cuz i didnt drive the car w/o em

I've heard of Equal Length headers burning out spark plugs since they are very close. I have Equal Length Macs on my 86 GT and doing the spark plugs was a pain but not that bad.
