would like some input on headers anybody with any history with bbk any good ? next choice is jba both sets look to be quality and priced right any negative input on either . Also what is the difference between shorty /cat back type and the shorty tuned length do i have to make mods to mid pipe with either or are they both just bolt off bolt on types of set ups. Any input is welcome.

I have BBK header and they are great. You have some clearance issues with them or any long tube headers. You just have to watch what you drive over speed bumps etc. They make great power! Even more with a supercharger. As far as the shorty header save your money there are not worth the time or the money to install. Good luck!

The last set of bbk's I bought, (351 swap headers bought in april of last year) were chit as far as quality. They fit and sealed just fine, just had fugly welds. I had to grind the inside of each tube around the head flange to open them up b/c the welds were so crappy.

+1 on waiting for long tubes. U will make a bit of power with shorties but for the work done, lts all the way.

I had the MACs, they will scrape on stuff, or atleast your mid pipe will. My new Pypes stuff, fit well. Had to clearance around the starter and transmission bellhousing. But that was all. I was able to drop the motor in with them attached.
