The headlights on my mustang GTs, after it gets hot inside the engine compartment, will start to flash on and off, its only the headlights and none of the other lights. It makes the car almost impossible to drive at night when this happens. Someone stoped to help me out last night and said it is a headlight relay that went bad, but I cant seem to find any info on headlight relays on the web or for that matter any problem similar to this one. Im kind of desperate for the help cause were getting ready to move and were going to need to drive the car at night. we really hadnt noticed the problem before but thats probably cause Ive only had the car for 4 months and havent had to drive at night much.

Thanks for the help,
Vip3r

Thanks,

Edit: I got it off, thanks, need to find a harness connector ours is melted, so thats looks like it was the problem

Do a search for install tips on mustangworld.com. They installed whiteface gauges and in instructions they describe how to remove the switch.

I think it was similar to this...
Get a nail and make a 90 degree bend at the pointed tip leaving approx. 1/4 as a "poker." There's a small slot/channel on the headlight switch that runs parallel with the length of the switch. Slide the nail in the channel towards you and and pull on the switch.
