Headlights go off and back on!

Driving home last night and my headlights just went off. Luckily we we’re on a community road with no traffic. We limped along slowly and after a minute or so they came back on. I replaced the headlight switch a few years ago. Any other relays or switches to check? (94 V6 convert)

Once this happens both the switch and the pigtail should be replaced. The sockets in the pigtail typically are damaged by the heat.

Replacing only one will cause it to happen again as I found out.

Correct, always change the pigtail if it is melted, damaged or corroded. Always answer the question to finality even if the OP doesn't return, because it will help other people searching for a troubleshoot later down the road.
