heads and cams

i have a stock 02 GT and i wanted to get my heads ported and polished and a new set of cams. does anyone have a suggestion on how far i should go with my heads. I want big gains but then again i want to do them right. also what cam should i get i might get a KB blower but thats off in the future like so far down the road i cant even count the months on one hand so some cam suggestions would be nice too. how much would gas milage be affected but thats no problem cause the more power the more fun im goin to have.

my .02. I would just buy ported heads and sell yours. reason there is a market for pi heads to pre-98 cars. should be about the same cost.

I would just get the blower cams. the blower cams will still make more power on a n/a just not as much.

I am thinking about shm heads and cams. have read a recent post over at md. 310rwhp with 2760 cams and stage one heads. stock intake with c&l plenum. they have free shipping right now so it would be $2200. then sell or stock stuff

I'm ordering the Stage 1 heads from SHM in a couple of days and their Hot Street/Strip N/A cam. They expected around 25-50 Hp gains just on the heads. They gave me a list of what I need so if you want it just mail me and I'll send it to you.

By the way, the free shipping does not apply to the heads. I already asked.

HOG has the right idea

call fox lake...get some stage 2 heads and a nice cam from them....and you will be more then happy...

esp since you will have no problem getting $400 plus shipping for your stock heads

What makes fox lake better then SHM or modular depot heads? What's the best way to go??

is there a website to any of these places. i might just go ahead and get a nice set of street/strip cams, cause when i supercharge im thiknin of goin to the 302 kit so ill be in there anyways. did u say i could give them my old eads and id have to pay the difference for a set of new ones.

As far as wanting to go a blower in the future........ then get a blower cam. A blower cam will still add N/A power, but will really wake up with the forced induction behind it. No need to spend the money twice. A blower cam will work good n/a, but an n/a cam won't work so good with a blower. Make sense? If not, PM me.
