The MM&FF article on heads did all their testing on a CHP 306 with a carb. How do the numbers translate to a stock EFI Cobra motor? The AFR's showed a gain of 60hp & 19tq over the GT40P heads but again this was on a carbed 306. With the exception of the AFR heads, it seems the biggest advatage of going with a head swap on a Cobra would be weight savings. Is there a better way to spend $1300 on a Cobra motor?

Thanks

Yep, on a 306, you know it has aftermarket pistons, so the compression ratio could be bumped up a little.

Also, a carb will produce better peak numbers than fuel injection. I want to say I've been told that FI will give you a little better torque though.

I think that it is pretty right on for the poewr that our cars will make. Because on their stock E7TE head test it made 306hp and 345tq or so. Which is almost exactly my flywheel numbers with E7s and a stock cam.
