would there be any damage done to the rings and bearings since i will be raising the compression? or should i just bolt them on and dont worry about it. the motor runs awesome, doesnt leak or burn any oil.

Depending on the heads and cam and such that you get, you might need to run thicker oil. When I put the AFR's on my car it would dump some smoke out the tailpipes at WOT above 4500 rpms. Thicker oil stopped that. I know running thicker oil is just a band-aid for a deeper issue, but it helps.

Test your block and see where it sits in compression and such. You will have a better idea what will happen. If all looks good put your stuff on and run it till you need to rebuild the shortblock.
