ok Ive got a fresh 308 bottom end. Its going in an 87 that has 410 gears, Cobra intake(lightly hand ported), 70mm TB, AOD and Mass Air. Im not trying to light the world on fire, I just want a quick street car. Im pretty sure Im gonna run the FMS B303 cam. Im so lost on the heads to use. 194 or 202 intake? What size exhaust? Cost IS a factor so Im leaning more toward Iron heads, but aluminum is not outta the question. Gimme your thoughts guys. Im stuck! Thanks Chris

On a stock bottom end, the 2.02 intake valves will hit the pistons; thus they need to be notched for clearance. With your 308, if the pistons are "fly cut" enough the 2.02's may clear. The 1.94's will clear no problem. I actually have a stock bottom end with 1.96/1.60 valves and a Steeda 19 cam(.480" intake/exhaust) and they don't hit. They are E7's, and I got them on eBay for about $400.
