Well, I rebuild my heater last summer, I bought a new plenum, seal kit, hoses and heater core; the motor and switch were working fine. Until a couple of weeks ago I finally install the hoses that connect the heater core with the water pump, and after waiting for the car to reach operating temp I didn't feel heat coming from the heater. What could be the problem?

The heater cables aren't in very good shape, but I arrange the moving doors inside the heater so I could feel the hottest air it can achieve, but I didnt feel a big difference.

Im asking this because I know it will be a PITA to remove the box and tear it down, and I want to know what to look for before doing that.

My car was a factory heater delete car so when I bought it 2 years ago, I had to install the entire heating system (everything new except the heater box). And even with all the new stuff, it still takes 15 minutes for it to just start heating up. My work is 15 minutes from my house and I finally stop shivering about 3 blocks from work. But when I go to Sedalia (about 30 minutes away), by the time I get there, the car is nice & toasty.

So either I'm having the same problem, or it's just normal for these cars to take forerver to heat up.

I had the same problem in my 72 stang. Turned out that one of the fittings the heater hose connected to was plugged. I stuck a screwdriver in there and whoosh! Instant heat.
