Hey Guys, I have a quick question. Im putting my 66 mustang back together after a while of it being apart. I replaced all the heater control cable and plate, it look great now, only problem is i dont remember how this is installed.

There are two studs that stick out with a nut, but there is nothing to attach them to in the car. It there some sort of backing plate that I lost somewhere? Thanks for any help

You're missing the two small claw clips things that slip over the studs. They will turn on the stud one way to slip past the edge of the opening (or put on from the back) and turn to overlay the backside of the dash opening. Tighten down the nuts and it will draw the plate up to the dash.

Thanks for the picture. That was exactly what I needed. Now I definitely know that I don’t have what I need after searching my parts bin. Anyone ever seen these for sale or know of a workaround. I attempted to use a couple large washers, but that proved to be useless
