I'm debating this also, I looked at copper tubing at HD but am trying to figure out how to make the nipple flange at the end so the hose won't blow off under pressure. Hopefully we'll see a pic.

I did a single aluminum pipe for the front line on my Stealth intake. It has a rear water cross-over so one of the two hoses connects back there. Here's the only picture I have handy showing it. I think I got the pipe from McMaster, but don't recall for sure. I just sanded it with some 1200 grit paper and sprayed it with clear.

yeah, i have looked at the HD too. they sell a copper pipe adapter that you can braze to copper tubing that gives you a 1/2 inch female pipe thread. then you could screw in a 1/2 in brass fitting with a 5/8 barb so that you could connect your hoses. but now your talking about a LOT of potential leak sources.

my other thought is to use an old set of needle nose vise grips and put a crude bead roll on the end of the copper tubing. seams like the best solution so far. other than just using the stock 5.0 heater tubes anyways.

They were stock in 1970 on V8 engines. Why not just get the repros?
