heater core out the front

need to change the heater core on a 1990 , hate the idea off spending all that time & hassle , anyone ever have any luck cutting a nice opening and removing it from the firewall ??????????????????? thanks for any advise

Wouldnt that look kinda ugly in the engine bay if you did that, how would you seal it back up??? I would rather spend the time to change it the right way than cut a hole in the car. plus you only have to change it every so often. Just my thoughts

Its not that hard. Just time consuming. i did mine this past spring. Took a bit of time, but if you take your time, a weekend project easily.
