Heater Core R&R - AC Discharge?

Getting the teltale mist from antifreeze on the winshield and will probably do my first heater core on my 94 GT soon. Since I've just spent $$$ having the AC repaired I don't want to discharge it. Can it be done?

It can be done,you just have to bend the accumulator mounting brackets forward for the required clearance.

Opps,just noticed your car is a 94`.I don`t know if the fox body procedure works on a 94`.

Thanks, I've got the procedures for the fox bodies, but when I go through my Chilton manual for the 94 I see nothing that says AC has to be evacuated. The smell and the fog is intermittent, and if I turn it up to high defrost it pretty much goes away.
