HEATING SPRINGS

alright i know im pratically asking for it with this post, but please don't lecture me about how i shouldn't do it and how i will regret it, i just want to know what is the "proper" way to heat your springs to lower the car. i have an extra set of springs so if i mess up ill just putt the new ones in. the car is a 95. the tool i will be using is a butane torch. thanks peeps, halla

Just cut'em if you're going to get cheap with it. I don't know if a butane torch has enough "ass" behind it to even heat the spring enough. But if it does, just keep the weight of the car on the spring and heat up a section until you get the height you want.

this is completely second hand knowledge, but i would put something under the car to avoid heating the springs too much and having the wheels plant themselves in the wheelwell

Heating springs to lower the car is difficult to get all the springs to lower the same amount. If you are going to cut the springs, then it is best to use a cut off wheel. Cutting with a torch can heat them up & get different drops on each spring. I'd recomend you cut them, not heat them to get the drop.
