Heddman Header Problem

I have a 1982 Mercury Capri Fox body car. I got a pair of the full length heddman headers with a 3 inch colletor and 1 1/2 primaries for my 5.0 and i wanted to know if the headers would clear the steering column shaft coming out of the fire wall going into the rack and pinion. My buddies got a 82 mustang and his motor mount and cocked up to make clearance.

I've got the same exact headers on my 79 mustang. Didn't have any problems with the header hitting the steering shaft.
