I have a chance to get a new set for around $100. Was wondering how they rate? I've had a couple annoying exhaust issues so I just want to start over and get everything new, with bang for the buck being priority one. I know X-pipes for LT's are cheaper and since I need cats I would save there. For the catback I'm leaning towards a MAC. I've read LT's are a little quiter but give a little more power. What are other pros and cons? Would this be a good way to go/place to start, if starting over? Thanks.

$100 for longtubes sounds like a headache in the making to me. you get what you pay for, especailly with exhausts. Big money longtubes are a PIA to install so good luck with the cheap ones.

I had BBK's on my old car, i think they were like 250 from summit way back in the day, they were good quality and the install wasnt nearly as bad as my bassani's. I'd reccomend those ones anyday. Just dont buy a BBK x-pipe unless you like your car sounding like a tin can from 2500-3000 rpms

I have a pair of the ones your talking about, and I love them . The only frustration you will run into is the passenger side, you have to have the starter off, slide the header in, then drop the starterback down from the top. Other than that puttin them on is fairly easy. Oh and before you put them on go ahead and have them powder coated. Because that crappy paint they put on them burns of in 2 secs and rust comes in its place. Learned tht the hard way
