Just replaced the old points ignition distributor in my 90 LX with a HEI procomp unit, its getting fire through the coil on the distributor and getting fire to the plugs but its still not firing for some reason, i even went so far as to pull the distributor replace the coil and ignition module and reset it to TDC and reinstalled everything still wont fire any ideas as to what my problem may be?

Is your car still EFI? If so, there are no points on the car, and you need the stock (or OEM equivalent) distributor for the PIP inside. Otherwise, your fuel pump won't run and your injectors won't pulse.
sorry guys, but it makes me sick when i hear of someone putting a chevy type item on a mustang, especially when there has been a simple way of keeping it all ford. im guessing this car was a v-8 conversion with an old pionts dizzy, am i right? if so i would have converted to electronic by using duraspark stuff or even MSD.Similar threads
