Heli-coiled my water pump bolt.

I just drilled out the hole carefully with a 21/64th bit and carefully had it tapped with the proper tap. Then inserted the heli-coil and so far it seems to be straight.

How much tension can a heli-coil experience? I hope this works.

At least as much as the original threads will hold. I've used them for exhaust pipes before and torqued the crap out of them with no trouble at all. If it ever did give up... just thread in a new one. It's beautiful thing. lol

yep; heli-coils are supposed to be stronger than the original threads. I had to use one in one of my heads when my alt bracket broke off taking half of the bolt w/ it.
