Hell Yeah! Ticket 6!!!

so, on my way home from work tonight, driving the Taurus because the mustang is in the garage waiting to be waxed for the bowen scarff show tomorrow... and I'm about to pull into Jack in the Box, and this cop pulls out behind me, and pulls me over! :bang: :notnice:

"Do you know the speed limit on this road, son?"
-"Um, 35?"
"yeah, do you know how fast you were going?"
-"um, 34?"
"yeah, making sure you knew. I pulled you over because you have a headlight out. ...Driver's Licence, Registration.... ok, I'll be right back"
-"damn! I didn't know I had a light out! fricken A! I can't get another ticket, I'm only freaking 19!"
"well, I'm going to give you a ticket for the headlight out, I've talked to you before about this, so I'm not going to give you a warning."
-" :bs: "
"sign here!" :owned:

the story of my life... 6 tickets, and even more times than that pulled over! and I'm freaking 19!! not a good start to my driving life... :nonono:

wow, sounds like youre getting screwed over. when i started driving i grabbed 3 speeding tickets within about a year. then as one fell off i always replaced it. i went on like that for about 5 years.

Dude, just go to court and fight it. Duh. If its something minor like that, it's your fault for not seeing if they'll take the money off and the ticket off your driving record. I'm guessing that in six tickets you've never tried. Technically, it IS your fault for not checking the tail light before you left, but still.

I've never gotten any ticket...because I don't drive stupidly.

One rule you must always follow: Plead not guilty. ALWAYS.

They make that extremly expensive in Midland TX where I used to live. There you have to pay the max fine, court cost, and jury fee at the time you enter your plea. It's really a bunch of bull crap, but no one has challanged their procedures in court so that's the way it is. Oh and as I discovered if you don't have the cash at the time you go to enter your plea you have to pay the max fine, but you can pay that out over time.

Damn.

All I can say is, I'd hate to see your monthly insurance bill... Same thing happened to me after I got my license a LONG time ago. Got 5 tickets by the age of 20--no matter where I went, the cops were always there waiting for me. Driving a red car didn't help, but still.

well, ok, I may have that many tickets, but NONE on my record :rlaugh: that's where the "Fred Hopkins: Attorney at Law" is for :D

-oh, forgot to mention in the origional post... OFFICER: "WOW! I've Never seen a tachometer in a taurus before, what do you do, race it?" :nonono: (back in HS, I got it because there was no reason for me getting 15mpg in it  now, all I get is flack from cops about it!

in washington state defective equipment tickets do not count against you for driving privledges or insurance:) at one time when i was about 22 i had 15 tickets on my record i was ****ed for 3 yrs
