Hell Yeah! Ticket 6!!!

yeah, I know it won't effect my insurance, or on my driving record... the point is though... 6th ticket, and it's still BS! :bs:

I think you have some very legitimate complaints, especially given the horrible driving I see everyday that goes unticketed. You are driving an arrest-me-red Mustang that draws too much attention to a young driver. With that car, you must strive to be ultra conservative when driving. Given what you have been stopped for, even that paradigm shift will probably only help the problem and not eliminate it completely. I assume that the sound of my car and its appearance will make my neighbors assume that I am going too fast, so I drive extra slow. If I am in my pickup, I drive normally.

2 of my tickets were/are in my WHITE 1992 TAURUS GL! going 70 on I-5, and this headlight crap... I'm even targeted when I'm not driving my mustang... and I don't really ever speed, only a very few times late at night on the freeway. I do think I need to stop driving PERIOD. even when I'm not in the mustang, I get ticketed... so why even try to be perfect. I didn't even know about my headlight out, and got ticketed... :nonono: so even when I'm trying to abide by the law, I get pulled over :nonono:

Yeah, driving a bright orange 65 mustang, with a 17 year old behind the wheel brings a lot of attention to me...my car is pretty loud, so until i get out of the neighborhood, i go about 15, 20 MPH, and i still get looked at...funny thing is, when i drive my truck i can go 35 in the neighborhood, and no one ever looks at me

oh yeah, don't get me wrong... I'm not one to say, the speed limit in rural areas is 25, so I'm going to do it! I do 15, or less in housing areas... 65 on the freeway at most in traffic... right hand lane too, purposefully got quiet mufflers until the higher RPM band for cop reasons, all that stuff... and here I sit, a perfect example to future generations, what not to have happen :rlaugh:

-oh well, as long as I can get out of these 2 pending... I might just buy a geo - something and drive like a grandparent

yeah, thats what my truck is for...a tan on brown ranger diesel, a major grandpa truck :D ...i dont think i have ever had a cop look at me while i was driving

lol- i dont think ive even heard of a ranger with a diesel engine. lol.
nice discrete ride! :nice: sounds like the color is perfect also.

j.r.

yeah it's perfect, the only thing i have to worry about is keeping my foot way off the gas when a cops behind me, so it doesnt smoke them out, can't really expect a 21 year old diesel to not smoke

Just fix the headlight and show them. Its probably a fix-it ticket, so the fine should be very minimal.

I've been pulled over so many times I have lost count. I usually get let off though because I dont act like an *******. I can count 7 tickets I've gotten so far and I'm sure I'm forgetting some. I'm not proud of it, but I dont like to drive in teh middle lane, I guess I like to speed a little bit. :D

I got waaaaay more tickets in my Taurus than I have in my Mustang. It had rims/systems/tint that made it look like a drug dealers car tho, so that didnt exactly help. :rlaugh:

Here in Montana, they can't give you a ticket for anything being wrong with your car until they have first given you a warning slip, and then you get pulled over a second time for the same thing. I am 20 years old (as of 8/27), and so far I have no tickets. I live in a town that is home to the Highway Patrol, the City Police, the Sherrif's, and also the Tribal Officers since we are near a reservation. This place is thick with cops! I have been pulled over 3 times. Once I got pulled over for not having mud flaps on my lifted Bronco. Whups. I got a warning slip, which you normally have to mail in when you have fixed the problem, but the cop was real nice about it and said I didn't need to send it in, cuz he wasn't going to log it anyway. "Just make sure you get it fixed" he said. I go pulled over a second time because I was driving through town at night with my lights out. We have a lot of brite street lamps in town, so I didn't notice that I had them off. All he did was tell me I needed to turn my lights on after dusk, and he let me keep on rollin'. I got pulled over a third time because I was racing a rice rocket out of a stop light, and I didn't notice that there was a cop behind me when I took off. :nonono: I spanked the rice, but I got pulled over. The cop checked my registration and insurance, told me to "slow it down a little son", and let me go. Still no tickets. :D

guys who said it is a "fix-it ticket"... it's NOT... Like I said... the officer said he'd given me a warning about it before, so he was writing me a ticket... same thing happened to another friend of mine w/ an 88 chevy truck... got a ticket too...

-if they give you a verbal warning... it still goes into the computer... so, maybe my bro got the warning, or my grandma, and I wasn't told... just thought of that, but I'm still liable to have it in working condition... that's what the whole "driver's Ed training" thing of vehicle inspection check before each trip is all about :D

I got one of those headlight tickets once. The officer was really friendly and apolegetic about it, and he said if I went to see the judge that he would let me off without a fine if I got it fixed. Well this was in Midland and the cops/courts are a money making machine so I got stuck paying a 55 dollar fine + 20 dollars in court fees. Makes you really want to thank the police for looking out for your safety.
