I,ve owned a 00V6 since 04 and would like to do some research on it.Namely i,d like to break down vin#,data code plate # and option codes.I,ve never used a computer and am doing this thru a good friend of mine.Thank you for your time and looking forward to your replies and posts.

Hey Rob!

Much of the data you are looking for can be found by doing a carfax report on the car. Included in that will be options the vehicle has, history of the vehicle. as well as some other minor details. Check around on this web-site's forums for people who have Car Fax accounts, since you must possess an account (or buy one) to be able to run a Car Fax check.

Also, you can find out some specs on your Stang by going to "The Mustang Source" web-site.

EDIT: Not sure why, but for some reason Stangnet edits the words in that link above. The words in those *** above is this "themustang source" WITH NO SPACES IN BETWEEN.

As well, not sure if you know this or not, but the option codes (atleast most of them) will be listed on the inside of the driver side (I believe) door jam. Check that out too.
