Car drives fine around the city and fine on the freeway. The problem is when I come off the freeway and coast to a stop, the car will stall. The RPMS seem to be stuck above 2000. If I try and come to a complete stop, the car stalls. NO CEL. If I coast trough the exit the car will not slow down, it just keeps going with the RPMS stuck. I replaced IAC TPS Air Filter. I do not think there is a vacuum leak or problem with the fuel pressure because the car runs great other than this coming to a stop after a freeway run. I am thinking it is the TCC solenoid and the TCC just is not unlocking in time or at all? But if it is the solenoid, why would it be able to lock but not unlock? I don't want to drop the tranny pan until I can get a somewhat definitive answer from someone else that has had this same freeway stall problem. Thank you!
Took it to a tranny place, he drove it around (not on the freeway) and said he couldn't find anything. Ran a code reader, no codes.
P.S. is there anyway to disable the TCC to see if that is the problem? Will turning Over Drive off disable the TCC?
