It looks like the pinion gears are shot on my 94 power seat rack assy. Is this common? Anyway, 50resto.com wants $225+ for a new one. I saw a few on E-bay, but one post was questionable and the other one was over $100 inluding s&h. I'd like to fix mine, but it looks like the assy was riveted together from the factory. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

I found used ones from $45 on www.car-part.com Might do a search on there and maybe find one local or not too far away to save on shipping. Maybe someone has one that they are not using.... so if you haven't already, maybe put a wanted ad in the classifieds.

Good luck!

Hey
I have a seat track that I replaced on my 95 gt. My motors and gears are fine, but one of the rails broke. I'll gladly sell you my whole assembly, or take out the parts you need and junk the rest. This is just sitting around now, so it isn't worth much to me. Let me know if you'd like to buy it.

Nice web site. Thanks! I'll look into some of the salvage yards tomorrow.

Thanks..but I don't think these assemblies can be taken apart. They seem to be riveted together.
