Hello everyone, Ive got a nearly dead alternator on my hands here. Theres no sense in replacing it with a lame 70 amp. So could any of you 3G gurus tell me if a a late 90's early 00 Lincoln Town Car 1999 130 amp alt would work?

I need to know this today or Im going to use another stocker

PLease help :(

It's not a 3G alt, it's a 4G alt on the 4.6L cars.

If you go to the parts store for a new alt, check the price of a 94-95 Mustang alt. If it's not much more get it.

Damn, that alt was trashed :(

Ive been to the junkyard today looking at 130amp motorcrafts from windstars, taurus, lincolns 3.8 3.0 it didnt matter! None would fit! They were 9 inches bolt to bolt! I need 8 inches. They ordered a 95 Mustang 130 amp alt. If that doesnt fit Im buying a fan clutch and getting rid of this brand new mark 8 fan
