help asap please gt brakes on lx

hey I had a front end from a 1991 gt laying around and i was swaping my new lowering springs in today i thought i would upgrade to the larger disks while im at it. so i put the spindles, shocks, rotors, and calipers from the 91 gt on my 89 lx but when i put on my 15 inch wheels. the shock is hiting the wheel right where it bolts to the spindle.
so has anyone done this swap?
do i need to use the 89 shocks will this work
or do i need bigger wheels any info will help please i need my car back driving for saterday

All 5.0L Mustang GT and LX brakes were the same size from ’87-‘93, so you shouldn't need to upgrade unless A) your '89 LX was a 4-cylinder car, or B) the '91 already had a some sort of brake upgrade?

More info on the cars and pictures would be great for an accurate diagnosis.

Is the shock positioned correctly on the spindle? Make sure it isnt 180 degrees out of Wack. I don't know if that is possible but just somthing that came to mind.. Just put new struts and brakes on my 88 yesterday..

got it

yeah it was a 4cyl before. the disks where more than a inch smaller. i ended up putting on the shocks from the gt too. so i used all gt stuff but i had to use a dremil and cut a half inch off of the top of the shock bracket where the bolts go to the spimdle for the wheel to clear. it works so im good with that i guess
