My friend that has 3.73s, jmod and an xcal2 doesnt have the line pressure maxed out at all and its already really noticeable when it shifts in regular driving. How can you stand being jerked everytime it shifts with it maxed?

I don't have the JMod yet, so I cant answer that. All I know is that you are supposed to up the line pressure all the way after doing the JMod.

Adjusting your line pressure is VERY simple on a manual....

I am going to suggest you go over to http://forums.tccoa.com and ask about your problem over there. There is 4 very good 4R70W techs there. Reading over your issue here and Modular-Depot, I am kind of inclined to say your issue is with the Predator and it's tune.

I have used the X-Cal 2, the older SCT 9100 flash device with the SCT Extreme Tune software and Predator. I have never used a Predator on my own vehicles though. The Predator does not give you the same options on the auto tranmissions that the SCT stuff does.

Update- It seems the predator tune was causing the problem

Update - The predator tune was bad

Since writing to all of you I have continued to fiddle with the settings on the Predator tuner. After every adjustment the shifting problem has continued on the 1-2 shift.

I continued to think about what could be causing my shifting problems and then it came to me -

Before the gears were installed, I was using the Predator to modify the factory tune on the car. After the gears, I found that the Predator would not allow me to use the modified factory tune to change the gear ratio setting in the ECU. It required me to upload the canned Predator tune to adjust the gear ratio.
At the time I didn't care, it only required me to use premium gas. The car isn't driven much, so I was willing to live with it.

A couple weeks after the can tune corrected the speedometer, I noticed the rolling 1-2 shift problem.

I focused on the canned tune's settings as the source of my problems. After I was unable to fix it by adjusting the settings, I assumed it was an internal tranny problem or a jmod failure.

Last night I remembered that people had complained that the canned predator tune had caused drivability problems for them. So, this morning I reset everything back to the factory tune and modified it to set the shift points lower (to compensate for gears). I took the car for a drive and it SHIFTED PERFECTED from a dead stop AND slow roll. It seems the problem was the canned predator tune all along.

It's only been one day so I will continue to "test" the car to see if the problem occurs again but I have a feeling it won't. Now my immediate issue is that the speedometer is reading incorrect because of the gears. The modified factory tune will not allow correction to the right speed.

Tell me what you guys think. What should I do from this point?
- I would buy a new tuner tomorrow but I just don’t have the spare money right now.

Thanks
